What is Texture Society?

Texture Society is a luxury protective styling brand & experience built on three pillars: artistry, hair health, and education.
I specialize in low tension protective styles, braids, locs, crochets, and textured extensions using premium human hair and hypoallergenic, chemical-free fibers.

My goal is to protect your hair’s integrity while delivering beautiful, long-lasting styles that feel as good as they look.

What Services do you Offer?

At Texture Society, we specialize exclusively in protective styling and textured extensions that supports growth, scalp wellness, and long-term retention.
My focus is artistry with integrity — every style and treatment is designed to protect your natural texture, not alter it.

My Core Services Include:

  • Protective Styles: knotless braids, twists, bantu knots, locs, crochet, and textured installs using premium human and hypoallergenic hair.

  • Wash Day Rituals: customized wash, deep conditioning and gentle style subscription for moisture, balance, and strength.

  • Consultations: personalized sessions to assess hair and scalp health, texture needs, and product recommendations.

Please note:
Texture Society does not offer medical or hair loss treatments, chemical services, heat styling, straightening, cutting, or trimming. At this time, I do not service clients experiencing hair loss caused by alopecia.


I recommend clients arrive with freshly trimmed ends (within the last 30 days), Healthy ends are essential for achieving maximum growth and protection results.

What makes Texture Society Different from other Salons or Braiders?

Well...I'm not a braid shop-I'm a protective styling studio, soon to be in residence at what will soon be Columbus' most exclusive shops.

Every appointment begins with a consultation, includes professional wash + prep, and focuses on scalp and hair health first.
I use clean, gentle techniques (no tight installs, no heavy tension) and luxury materials (high grade human hair & hypoallergenic Bio Fibers) designed for growth, comfort, and longevity.

You’ll leave educated, empowered, and confident — not just styled.

How do I book an Appointment?

Initial Appointments will be available by invitation only for clients on our consultation waitlist. Once you join, you’ll receive a personalized booking link and announcement when slots open. If by chance bookings become full-a new booking cycle will be announced via email, text and social media (so don't forget to join the contact list and follow on your favorite outlet) I do not accept walk-ins — this allows me to give each client a focused, premium experience.

All future appointments can be made on a first come, first served basis on GlossGenius.

Why is a Consultation Required?

Because every head of hair — and every scalp — is unique.
Consultations allows me to evaluate your hair health, texture, and goals so we can recommend the best style, prep routine, and products.
It also ensures your service is safe, tension-free, and tailored to your lifestyle. This is how we deliver luxury through intention.

Do you accept walk-ins/Same Day Appointments?

NOPE.

However. I am considering creating a system to notify those that have already had a Consultation a first come first serve option for cancelled appointments (12-24 hour notice).

Is there anything I need to do before my appointment?

Oh yes. You will receive a Pre-appointment Guide once your booking is confirmed. But here are a few top priority items to keep in mind.

  • I suggest removing any previous styles 5-7 days prior to your appointment

  • Avoid using any heavy oils or butter

  • Avoid heavy tension, brushing, combing or scratching of the scalp

  • Come in with an open mind & positive attitude

  • Get plenty of rest-Eat a good breakfast or lunch and stretch. (longer style sessions will have a minimum of one 15 minute break.

  • No outside guests will be permitted in the salon

  • No Children and no Pets are permitted

Do you Require a Deposit?

Yes, I do. There is a $50 USD Consultation Fee that is required prior to your first appointment. A portion of this fee will be pushed forward as a credit for your service when you book within 7 Days of your consult. I highly recommend booking the same day as the consultation so we can plan your style (order hair for custom extensions) and get it done. The credit toward service is good for 90 days. After 90 days, you will require a new consultation and hair evaluation.

At the time of booking-a deposit amount will be provided. You can expect a minimum of 50%. A higher deposit may be required for higher ticket services. The total amount of services will be booked the day of service.

Do need to bring my own hair?

Save yourself the headache. Not only do I "Do" hair, I PROVIDE it!! During your hair consultation, we will discuss your hair extension options that will be ready and prepped for install on the day of service. Please note that some extensions may require time to create or ship so plan accordingly.

What products do you use?

At the very foundation of my services-I offer Design Essentials.

Do you offer Wash + Go (or Blowout) Service?

Absolutely. If you only need a wash, condition + Blowout-that works just fine. Every service includes a gentle detangle, wash, condition, and style prep. Clients can also add-on specialized treatments such as:

  • Scalp exfoliation & detox

  • Hot oil or herbal mask therapy

  • Chebe Retention Rituals (Coming Soon)

At Texture Society, I don’t just do hair — I protect crowns, restore confidence, and redefine luxury for textured clients who understand the value and power of protective styles.

What forms of Payment do you accept?

At this time, I accept credit/debit cards & Apple Pay. I am seeking options like Afterpay and installment applications for higher ticket services to make them more accessible. I do not accept Cashapp, Venmo or Zelle.

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask for a 72 hour for cancellations and reschedules. 48 hours at the minimum. Late cancellations and No-Shows will forfeit all or a portion of your deposit and may require a new booking with 100% payment for service at the time of scheduling. I value your time-and mine-this helps us both to maintain balance and fairness to all clients.

Do you offer refunds?

No-I do not offer refunds. due to the nature of the services, refunds are not available. Your satisfaction matters deeply and this is why we make the time to consult prior to the appointment. During service you will have the opportunity to view the progress and discuss your style/install as it is happening. All clients will also receive care instructions and tips to maintain the hair between appointments.

Do you sell retail products or Hair?

Yes I will. Texture Society will offer a curated selection of premium, scalp-safe hair extension, tools and care products that will be available for purchase online with option to ship or ready for pick-up in salon. You'll find exclusive Texture Society bundles, clip-ins, bulk hair and braiding hair designed to help you maintain your protective style at home, for your hair DIY or if you decide that my salon services aren't for you-but you'd like to purchase top quality hair to take to a different stylist. You will also have the option to shop some of the top hair care products created by your favorite and soon to be new favorite brands.

What does it mean to join Texture Society?

My clients are more than appointments — they’re members of a community & growing movement where we honor textured beauty in its most natural, luxurious form.
